Bobby Boxer Briefs – Men's PDF Sewing Pattern (XS–5XL) | EN + DE

Meet Bobby, my very first pattern for men! These fitted boxer briefs are comfy, supportive and made for everyday wear. I worked on this pattern for a really long time, and the men in my family have tested and approved the fit.

Bobby has a lined front pouch for comfort and support, a gusset between the legs, and a main body that forms the back, sides and legs in one piece. Thanks to the burrito method, the pouch and gusset are finished cleanly with no visible seams inside. The waistband is finished with a soft exposed elastic, and the legs are hemmed with a twin needle or coverstitch.

Sizing

Choose your size by your low waist measurement, taken around the hips at the level of the hip bones, where the waistband will sit.

XS: 70–76 cm
S: 77–82 cm
M: 83–88 cm
L: 89–95 cm
XL: 96–101 cm
2XL: 102–107 cm
3XL: 108–113 cm
4XL: 114–120 cm
5XL: 121–126 cm

Recommended fabrics
Stretch knits with good recovery and at least 50% stretch across the width: cotton jersey with elastane (e.g. 92/8 or 95/5), modal, bamboo jersey or microfibre. Avoid fabrics without elastane.

Materials needed

• Main fabric (full width): 0.5 m for sizes XS–XL / 1 m for sizes 2XL–5XL (includes the pouch and gusset lining)
• Soft waistband elastic, 30–40 mm wide, ideally with a plush or brushed back: 1.3 m

Darf ich vorstellen: Bobby, mein allererster Schnitt für Männer! Diese eng anliegenden Boxershorts sind bequem, geben guten Halt und sind perfekt für jeden Tag. Ich habe sehr lange an diesem Schnitt gearbeitet, und die Männer in meiner Familie haben die Passform getestet und für gut befunden.

Bobby hat einen gefütterten vorderen Beutel für Komfort und Halt, einen Zwickel zwischen den Beinen und ein Hauptteil, das Rückseite, Seiten und Beine in einem Stück bildet. Dank der Burrito-Methode werden Beutel und Zwickel sauber verarbeitet, ganz ohne sichtbare Nähte innen. Der Bund wird mit einem weichen, sichtbaren Gummiband verarbeitet, die Beine werden mit Zwillingsnadel oder Coverlock gesäumt.

Dehnbare Strickstoffe mit guter Rücksprungkraft und mindestens 50 % Dehnung in der Breite: Baumwolljersey mit Elastan (z. B. 92/8 oder 95/5), Modal, Bambusjersey oder Mikrofaser. Vermeide Stoffe ohne Elastan.

Benötigtes Material
